Watch Spice

The latest partnership with pop icon turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham is timely, to be sure. In collaboration with Beckham, the watchmaker Breitling has created the limited-edition Chronomat 36 Victoria Beckham collection. Blending Beckham’s distinctive design sensibility and Breitling’s craftsmanship, the range offers a fresh, modern expression of the classic Chronomat. Available in a limited run of just 1,500 pieces, the range is rendered in refined colourways inspired by the Victoria Beckham spring 2024 palette. From $7,990.

Scent of Simplicity

Blossoming from a collaboration between fashion house Brunello Cucinelli and perfumer Daphné Bugey, Brunello Cucinelli Pour Femme eau de parfum celebrates the beauty in simplicity. Notes of chestnut accord and precious woods give way to top notes of spices and citrus fruits, with a base of amber and musk for warmth and comfort. Upcycled and sustainable elements such as cedarwood Virginia, Atlas cedar, vetiver from Haiti and olibanum from Somalia add richness, alongside Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian mandarin, pink pepper and orange blossom for a touch of femininity. $295 for 100ml.

Candy Ring

Founded by the Toronto-born, Los Angeles-based jeweller Kirsty Stone — the granddaughter of both a costume designer and a gemstone collector — Retrouvaí finds inspiration in the nostalgic. The brand name derives from the French “retrouvailles”, which describes the joy of reconnecting with something from the past. Lollipop is a one-of-a-kind ring crafted in 18-karat yellow gold, with a vibrant 8.05-carat Mahenge spinel set in hand-carved turquoise. It both evokes decades gone by and is about as sweet as it gets. Approximately $167,900.

Bang on Time

Hublot has never shied away from making a colourful statement with its designs. Case in point: the new Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Rainbow timepiece. Crafted from a new, warmer-looking alloy of 18-karat polished gold and titanium, the 32mm case is set with a staggering 96 coloured gemstones, while the bezel features a similarly extravagant 58 baguette-cut gemstones. Black rubber and multicoloured alligator leather straps bolster its star power. From $121,000.

Heavenly Linens

Donnafugata Castle near Ragusa, in south-east Sicily, has a mysterious history. Legend has it that in the 15th century, Queen Bianca di Navarra (the widow of King Martino I d’Aragona) was imprisoned there by a Spanish warlord intent on seizing the crown. Whatever the truth of that story, the castle now plays muse to a bedding set by luxury sheet maker Pratesi. Featuring intricate, hand-cut lace detailing on a 100 per cent Egyptian cotton percale base, the set is made to order in Italy, with a six- to eight-month lead time — so get your order in pronto. Individual elements from approximately $2,435.
